Highlights:

 

Day 1 – Arrive in Sofia

Arrival to Sofia airport. Meet and assist for transfer and accommodation in the hotel.
Sightseeing tour around Sofia and visit to the most interesting historical sights: the Alexander Nevski Cathedral, the St. Sofia Church, which had given the name of the city and the historical and cultural center of the capital.

Evening free at leisure. Overnight.

Day 2 – Sofia – Plovdiv – Sofia (300 km/4 hours drive)

Buffet breakfast in the hotel.

Full day tour to Plovdiv – the artistic capital of Bulgaria. A guided tour of the Old Town – an architectural complex of medieval churches, neat houses from the late Bulgarian renaissance and numerous well-preserved Roman buildings (2-5 century). Visit the ethnographical museum and enjoy a cup of aromatic coffee from some of the shops with a breathtaking view over the town.
Straw along the main pedestrian street which offers great shopping opportunities.
Transfer back to Sofia for overnight.

Day 3 – Sofia – Rila National Park – Stobki Pyramids – Sapareva Banya – Sofia   (280 km/4.5 hours drive)

After breakfast – departure to Rila Mountain Natural Park. This is the sixth highest mountain in Europe and the highest one at the Balkan Peninsula with its peak Musala (2 925 m). With its nature and beauty Rila National Park is among the largest and most valuable protected areas in Europe.
Next are Stobski Pyramids with possibility to make pictures on the rock formations. Visit of Stobski Pyramids requires 1 hour of walking.

En route back to Sofia we will visit also Sapareva Banya to see hot mineral water geysers.
Overnight in Sofia.

Day 4 – Bansko – Dobarsko – Sofia (340 km/5 hours drive)

After breakfast – departure to Bansko – the most renowned mountain resort in Bulgaria. Visit the city which is one of the biggest center in Bulgaria for woodcarving.

Cooking lesson at one of the typical Bulgarian restaurants Mehana.

In the afternoon – we depart to Dobarsko – a picturesque village close to Bansko, famous with its band of singing old women “Dobarski Babi”. Meet the grannies and attend the folklore concert made by them.

Return back to Sofia for overnight.

Day 5 – Sofia – Pancharevo Dam – Iskar Dam – Belchin SPA – Tsari Mali Grad Fortress – Sofia (140 km/3 hours drive)

Buffet breakfast in the hotel.
Full day tour to Belchin SPA resort and Tsari Mali Grad fortress http://www.carimaligrad.com/ .
En route you will pass through Pancharevo Dam (the Dam which supplies entire Sofia with water) and Iskar Dam. With a total volume of 673 million cubic meters, it is one of the biggest dams in Bulgaria.
At Belchin we take panorama funicular train up to the fortress. Enjoy the beautiful panoramic views around. Optional to visit Belchin Garden 4* SPA hotel and to book several hours usage of its SPA center.

Transfer back in Sofia, free evening and overnight.

Optional: Gala dinner at a typical Bulgarian restaurant with folklore show.

Day 6 – Sofia departure

Opportunity for SOFIA SHOPPING ½ day

There are 6 big shopping malls in Sofia which represents all the most famous international brands. The prices are very reasonable, much lower compared to other European capitals! Visit of some of the shopping malls with and assistant
Tour duration – 3-4 hours
Transfer to the airport and flight back home.
